SMALL EXCHANGE WITH THE DEPUTY Bobo Craxi (SON OF Craxi).

Wednesday, September 2, 2009,

Few of my generation who have not known Craxi, the Italian politician who pursued the righteousness of his country s' was exiled in Hammamet and had enjoyed protection of the dictator Ben Ali, who refused to extradite him.

For my part, I think it was a good decision because no one does know that no one had clean hands and that he 's acting on a political settlement of accounts.

also really liked CRAXI Tunisia and the Tunisian, and he chose to be buried in Hammamet, where he keeps his mansion.

Craxi, whose real name Benedetto Craxi, was an Italian politician, born in Milan, February 24, 1934, died in Hammamet (Tunisia), January 19, 2000.

Political career party functionary, deputy mayor of Milan in the 1960s he was deputy from 1972 to 1994. Secretary of the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) from 1976 to 1992, the architect of the rise of his party, he managed to supplant the Communists as a force of Enrico Berlinguer main Italian left. He managed to shake the dominance of the Christian Democrats on Italian politics.

He was chairman from 1983 to 1987. It was a very pragmatic head of government, which hesitated to adopt resolutions very determined against U.S. military at the Sigonella crisis. His positions are very muscular and his statements often brittle him soon attracted the antipathy of most politicians of the Italian Communist Party (PCI) and the Christian Democrats (DC).

He was indicted in 1992 - and sentenced to 27 ½ years in prison, Final 10 years - as part of Operation Mani pulite for a half-dozen cases of illicit political party financing and corruption. Sick, he fled to Tunisia where he died in exile in 2000.

Craxi in Italy remains a controversial figure, whereas his opponents as a symbol of political corruption, his friends and his political heirs denouncing persecution by an arbitrary judiciary.

His son Bobo (Vittorio) Craxi was New Party member from 2001 to 2006 PSI, before creating a new centrist party, I Socialisti, and since May 17, 2006 is under-secretary of State for Foreign Affairs the second government of Romano Prodi. His daughter Stefania is since 2001 member of Forza Italia party of Silvio Berlusconi.

Here is the brief exchange we had today:

Dear Mr. Craxi,

You've posted this message and then deleted, and I understand you:

Bobo commented your link:
"You made propaganda anti-Tunisian a bit old and predictable. Better than the ruling mullahs! "

course nobody do not know your moral debt towards the dictator Ben Ali, who had refused to extradite your father at the request of Italian justice. But your

gratitude and your villa in Hammamet, should not lead you to deny the obvious confirmed by all international ...

Ben Ali's regime is a dictatorship and corrupt criminal plundering and represses the Tunisian people for over 22 years!

If you know our people a minimum, you would know that we don 'have no mullahs, and that
c' is boundless greed, injustice and arrogance of your criminal friends who radicalize the population and undermine the future of our country.

Regards, Bobo Craxi

: Freedom of expression in the Arab countries is a problem ONLY Tunisian and the corruption that reigns in the world. Italy looks for today .. I insisted, the democratic alternative in Tunisia will lead to the mullah republic, we must know them and recognize that the "lesser evil" (I'm coinvancu who deals in excess phisiologiques all systems to prolong) c ' is much better than a state in which tèocratique may fall in the Arab World ca complexity.

Me, I deny nothing, I see that is not a political propaganda that changes things. Comem tunisia in europe. Bobo Craxi

: I add that Ben Ali have been much more enlightened leadership of others across the Maghreb!

Faouzi Mahbouli : Compared with Kadhafi, this is not very difficult ... Mr. Craxi

But in contrast compared to Morocco, Algeria and even Egypt the democratization process has regressed in Tunisia.

I appreciate that you have the intellectual honesty not to deny the reports on violations alrmants to Human Rights in Tunisia.

But I am however sorry that you can consider that Tunisians do not deserve a democratic alternative. Why do you see

Tunisia sink into a theocracy? ...

Personally, I am a layman, but I do not see why démocates Muslims could not sit in parliament if they were elected.

Dear Mr. Craxi, that is true that corruption exists in Europe, but torture is not institutionalized ... is there a big difference. Bobo Craxi

: In Italy, Western democracy from 1992 to 1995 have been worse ... Bobo Craxi

: In sectors of the opposition to the regime of Ben Ali in europe realm that we call "spirit of Munich". A partial opening of democracy have nothing to do with the idea of considering the useful opening fundamentalists who are the true cancer of the future of Tunisia. Worse than a new settlement. On torture, obviously you 're right, but not the rest.

Faouzi Mahbouli: Yes even if it has nothing to do with the nature of torture by the dictatorial regime of Ben Ali, as you acknowledge, rightly, is not democratically elected.
without forgetting the notorious political killings.

Finally, 3 years this is not 22, and soon 27 years!

The Tunisian people are educated and moderate, that is the scheme which acts as a fireman-arsonist who will lead this country towards religious radicalism and many others around that will impact very negatively on the relations between our countries. Bobo Craxi

: We'll see ....

NDR: Mr. MP Bobo Craxi, is not unpleasant, he probably loves Tunisia, but not all of them is not focused on all the practices of his friends Ben Ali Trabelsi ... it should not confuse gratitude with complicity in crimes, or lose one day the friendship of all Tunisians who will not forgive this denial of ethics and morality.
